Chief Minister Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal would soon lay foundation stone of Baba Moti Ram Mehra and Guru Ravi Das Memorial , informed Mr. Sohan Singh Thandal, Tourism & Cultural Affairs Minister Punjab after reviewing various projects of Cultural Department Punjab.He informed that the details of the project pertaining to Baba Moti Ram Mehra Memorial was discussed at length with the committee constituted for the same and the revised blueprint as well as the cost estimate for the same would be prepared by incorporating the changes suggested by the committee. Besides, commencing the tender process for the construction of Guru Ravi Das Memorial, Khuralgarh has been ordered, said he.He further informed that the major chunk of the civil work of the basement of Golden Temple Plaza is complete and now the wirk of interior fittings has to commence.
He said that in order to speed up the process, simultaneous tendering of various components has been ordered. He directed the Project Consultant to continuously monitor and co-ordinate the progress of various components in order to ensure timely completion of the project.Mr. Thandal directed Secretary, Cultural Affairs to hold fortnightly reviewal meetings to assess the progress of the various projects of the department, remove hitches if any and ensure that each project materialises in time.Besides others, Ms. Anjali Bawra, Secretary, Mr. Navjot Randhawa, Director( both of Cultural Affairs Department, Punjab), Lt. Gen.(Retd) B.S. Dhaliwal, Technical Advisor, Er. Ashok Goel Chief Engineer(PWD) were present on the occasion.
