While commenting over the indication of Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif of starting a dialogue with India without pre-conditions, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that the basic issue between India and Pakistan is the unresolved Kashmir dispute and until this issue is addressed as core issue and until this dispute is solved according to the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people, the dialogues between these two neighbors will prove a futile action like the past and nothing concrete can be expected from those talks. He reminded that India and Pakistan has held 150 rounds of talks so far but all those dialogues yield nothing nor did it improved the relation between the two nations. In a statement to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani said that Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif hinted towards the dialogue with India without pre-conditions at the Commonwealth heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) with his British counterpart David Cameron and at the occasion he had said that no conscience person can be averse to the talks and all the issues and disputes are at last solved on tables but Syed Ali Geelani said that the history of dialogues between India and Pakistan had not been so well and the issues between the two nations at the time of partition still stands unresolved today in 2015 and nothing advancement has been made in this regard.

Hurriyat (G) chairman said that the basic issue between India and Pakistan is the Kashmir dispute and all the other issues between them are the offshoots of this basic issue. He said that Kashmir is not any border dispute between the two nations but it is the issue of the future and life and death of more than 15 million human beings. Syed Ali Geelani said that the rigid and stubborn approach of India is the only biggest hurdle in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute and it his created uncertainty and political instability in the entire South Asian region. As the two South Asian neighbors have fought two full scale wars so far and another destructive war in the future cannot be ruled out. He said that if an another round of unconditional dialogue between the two nations is held in this situation and if the Kashmir is not addressed as core issue there and the sincere efforts are not made to resolve this long pending International dispute, then it will be an another addition to the customary dialogue process and it will yield nothing concrete.

While appealing to the rulers of Pakistan particularly Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif to maintain consistency in their Kashmir policy, the Hurriyat Chairman said that there is no argument and justification with India to hold Jammu & Kashmir under its forced occupation and if Pakistan will maintain consistency in its Kashmir policy, the India will definitely face difficulties in front of the international community and it will not be in position to defend its forced military occupation in Kashmir. He said that the determination and consistency with regarding to the Kashmir policy of Pakistan will bring India to the position of accountability and then it will be easy to highlight the war crimes and worst kind of human rights violations of Indian forces in Kashmir which will expose the hollow democratic claims and the real face of India on the international levels.
