A delegation of All India Fair Price Retailers Foundation (AIFPRF), led by its Working President, Mr. Prahlad Modi, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, here at the Raj Bhavan today.The delegation comprising Mr. Himat Bhai Patel, Mr. Grish Juyal, Mr. Avey Gupta, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Mr. Abdul Rahim Shah informed the Governor about several important issues relating to the infrastructure and functioning of the Fair Price Shops in J&K. They also discussed with the Governor the significant difficulties being faced by the Depot holders and retailers in regard to the distribution of fair price commodities to the entitled public.The delegation demanded that the State Government should take time-bound action to remedy the serious problems relating to the functioning of Fair price Shops and to alleviate the lot of those who run them. The Governor promised to take up these issues with the State Government.
