The Government Tuesday said Rs 10 crore have been released to Divisional Commissioner Jammu under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) during 2015-16 to deal with the aftermath of natural calamities. "Under SDRF, Rs 1 crore was provided by Divisional Commissioner Jammu to the district administration Doda during April 2015, for relief and restoration of damaged public infrastructure," Syed Basharat Bukhari, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister, told the House.In reply to a question by MLA Shakti Raj Parihar, the Minister said out of Rs 1 crore, Rs 50 lakh have been provided by the district administration to the concerned departments for restoration of damaged infrastructure."The balance Rs 50 lakh has been provided to respective tehsildars of the district for disbursement to the affected families. If required, additional amount will be provided as per SDRF norms," he said.The Minister further informed the house that in order to mitigate the sufferings of the affected people, blankets, tents and free ration is provided to the affected as required.Supplementary questions were raised by Dilip Singh Parihar and Javed Hassan Beg on the matter.
