Nullifying the media reports of any internet gag in Kashmir valley for the next 72 hours, government on Wednesday said it is yet to decide what measures are ought to be taken so that disruption in law and order is avoided.Talking to KNS, Kashmir’s police chief Syed Javied Mujtaba Gilani said no ban on internet services has been imposed by the Police and that the speculations which galore at large about the internet gag in valley at present are “incorrect.” “So far there has not been any such decision taken wherein internet could be banned. We are thoroughly deliberating about the measures that are ought to be taken for the maintenance of law and order,” IG, Kashmir told KNS.He added that whatever measures required to be taken for the maintenance of piece, shall be taken with immediate effect.Pertinently, the reports dominated the social media that in view of the beef ban in vogue, police have decided to bar internet services in Kashmir valley for the next 72 hours in a bid to avoid tensions.
