Minister for PWD Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari took stock of J&K State properties at New Delhi that are being maintained by PWD in a meeting held at Chanakya Puri Guest House here today.During the meeting, the Minister directed concerned PWD officers to get the necessary clearance from NDMC and speed up the construction of the proposed additional D block at Chanakya Puri that will come up at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.50 crore.The Minister directed the concerned to explore possibility of creating additional accommodation or suits on the land available at Chanakya Puri. He also laid stress on upgradation of staff quarters at Raja Ji Marg.
The Minister said that he shall take up the matter with the Chief Minister for requisite composite proposal to be made for up gradation of all State Guest Houses outside J&K in order to provide accommodation to Guests and Patients from the State.After meeting the Minister inspected State properties at 5-Prithvi Raj Road and Raja Ji Marg. Taking serious note, the Minister strictly directed the officers of the concerned department to ensure completion of all pending projects within the stipulated time.The meeting was attended by Principal Resident Commissioner J&K, Commissioner Secretary PWD and other officers/ officials of various Departments.
