ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਬੀਤੀ 16 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 1.11 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਖਰਚੇ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਲਈ ਖਰਚੇ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ 95 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਸਫਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਖਾਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਸੰਸਦੀ ਹਲਕੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਆਤਮ ਨਗਰ, ਗਿੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਹਲਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਦੀ ਹਲਕਾ ਫਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਧੀਨ ਸਾਹਨੇਵਾਲ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਾ ਖਰਚੇ ਦੇ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਹਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਚੋਣ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ 57856 ਨਵੇਂ ਯੋਗ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਜਿਸਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 2689481 ਵੋਟਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 1433062 ਪੁਰਸ਼, 1256270 ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ 149 ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਹਨ। ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਸੰਸਦੀ ਹਲਕੇ ਅਧੀਨ 935071 ਪੁਰਸ਼, 819447 ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ 132 ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਹਨ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ 7 ਮਈ ਤੋਂ 14 ਮਈ ਤੱਕ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪੰਜ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ, ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਖ਼ਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਵੋਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ 11 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 3 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਪੱਤਰ 10 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਗਜ਼ਟਿਡ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਨ 11 ਅਤੇ 12 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਗਜ਼ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਕਾਗਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੜਤਾਲ 15 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਆਖਰੀ ਮਿਤੀ 17 ਮਈ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 13 ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟਾਂ 'ਤੇ 1 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 7 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ 6 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪੈਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸ਼ਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ 'ਇਸ ਵਾਰ, 70 ਪਾਰ' ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਨਿੰਬੂ ਪਾਣੀ, ਮਿੱਠਾ ਪਾਣੀ, ਪੱਖੇ, ਸ਼ੈੱਡ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ 1 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Administration enrols 57856 first-time voters in district, Nomination on May 10 will also be accepted

District Election Officer Sakshi Sawhney on Tuesday stated since the imposition of the Model Code of Conduct on March 16, the administration has so far registered the poll expenditure amounting to Rs 1.11 crore in the accounts of various political parties in Ludhiana.Sawhney also that the expenditure limit set by the Election Commission of India for a candidate in upcoming Lok Sabha elections is Rs 95 lakh.
After successful nomination of candidates, any kind of expenditure on electioneering will be booked in the candidate's account. She added that Atam Nagar, Gill, and Ludhiana South constituencies under the Ludhiana Parliamentary constituency (PC), and the Sahnewal Assembly segment under Fatehgarh Sahib PC, are expenditure-sensitive. The election teams will keep a close vigil in these constituencies.
District Election Officer disclosed that the district administration had enrolled 57856 first-time voters. As of now, there are 2689481 electors in Ludhiana district, including 1433062 males, 1256270 females, and 149 third genders. Under the Ludhiana parliamentary constituency, there are 935071 males, 819447 females, and 132 third genders.
Sawhney also announced that only five persons, including the candidate, will be allowed to enter the place where the nominations will be filed from May 7 to May 14. She said that elaborate arrangements had been made to ensure that the nomination process was held smoothly, freely and fairly.
Nominations for the polls would be received from 11 am to 3 pm. She also clarified that the nomination would also be accepted on May 10. Papers would not be submitted on May 11 and 12 due to gazetted holidays. The scrutiny of papers will be held on May 15, and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is May 17. The polling on all 13 Lok Sabha seats will be held on June 1 from 7 am to 6 pm.
Sawhney urged the voters to participate enthusiastically to achieve the target of 'Iss Vaar 70 Paar' and assured that the arrangements of lemon water, sweetened water, fans, sheds, and seating facilities would be ensured at polling booths. Besides these arrangements, the administration would also arrange pick and drop facilities on June 1.
