ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ-ਕਮ-ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ, ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਖੰਨਾ ਅਮਨੀਤ ਕੋਂਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਨਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ 381 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਪੁਖਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਸਥਾਨਕ ਬੱਚਤ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਹੋਈ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ-ਕਮ-ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ, ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਖੰਨਾ ਅਮਨੀਤ ਕੋਂਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਨਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਮੈਪਿੰਗ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ 2919 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 381 ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਬੂਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਰੰਟੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਪੁਖਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੂਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਮੇਤ ਪੈਰਾ ਮਿਲਟਰੀ ਫੋਰਸ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਵੈਬਕਾਸਟਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਜਮਹੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਡਰ ਜਾਂ ਦਬਾਅ ਦੇ ਭਾਗ ਲੈ ਸਕਣ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥ 'ਤੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਮਤਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਪੁਖਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹਨ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਵਕ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਆਮ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਭੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਪਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, SSP Khanna Amneet Kondal and SSP Ludhiana Rural Navneet Singh Bains on Friday said that the administration would make elaborate security arrangements for 381 polling stations with vulnerable pockets in the district.
Presiding over a meeting to review the arrangements here at the Bachat Bhawan, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, SSP Khanna Amneet Kondal and SSP Ludhiana Rural Navneet Singh Bains said that the administration had completed the vulnerability mapping of the district as per which 381 out of 2919 polling stations have been identified with vulnerable pockets.
They said that special care would be taken to man the vulnerable polling stations across the district. The officers stated that special care would be taken to ensure that vulnerable polling stations across the district have adequate security cover-up to guarantee free and transparent polls. Punjab Police, along with the para-military force, would be deployed to cover these booths.
To ensure fair and transparent polls, webcasting would be ensured in all polling stations on the directions of the Election Commission. The primary motive of all these efforts was to ensure that people could participate in this democratic process without any fear or pressure. The district administration is committed to ensuring that every polling booth of the assembly segments has adequate security cover-up to ensure free and fair polling.
The officers reiterated the firm commitment of the district administration to hold the Lok Sabha polls peacefully. They warned that anyone trying to disrupt the peace during the general elections would be dealt with strictly as per the law.
