ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕੰਸਟੀਚੁਐਂਟ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮੋਹਕਮ-ਖਾਂ-ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਐਥਲੈਟਿਕ ਮੀਟ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਧੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਐਥਲੈਟਿਕ ਮੀਟ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਐਂਥਮ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਐਨ.ਆਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਨਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਧੀਮਾਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਟੁੱਕੜੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰਚ ਪਾਸਟ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਲੋ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਧਿਮਾਨ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ,ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਸ ਐਥਲੈਟਿਕ ਮੀਟ ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਈ 2.50 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਨ ਜਿੰਮ ਲਈ 2.50 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਨੀਵੀਰ ਭਰਤੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨਰੇਗਾ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਪੌਦੇ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ 200 ਮੀਟਰ, 400 ਮੀਟਰ, 800 ਮੀਟਰ ਦੋੜਾਂ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼ਾਟ-ਪੁੱਟ, ਜੈਵਲਿਨ-ਥੋਂ, ਰਿਲੈਅ-ਰੇਸ, ਰੱਸਾ-ਕੱਸੀ, ਥ੍ਰੀ-ਲੈਂਗ ਰੇਸ ਆਦਿ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੜੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਐਨ.ਆਰ. ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਯੋਗ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦਗਰੀ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਡਲ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਮੁਕੇਸ਼ ਅੋਰੜਾ ਸੈਨਟ ਸਿੰਡੀਕੇਟ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਬਹਿਲ ਸੈਕਟਰੀ ਰੈਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੋਰ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ,ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ, ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਪੰਚ-ਸਰਪੰਚ ਆਦਿ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
Punjab University Constituent College, Mohkam-Khan-Wala, organized its second annual Athletic Meet.
Ferozepur
The 2nd annual athletic meet was held with great zeal and enthusiasm on feb 4, 2024 in the sports ground of Punjab University Constituent College, Mohkam Khan. Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman was the chief Guest of the day who was welcomed with great pomp and show.
The events began with a march-past by all the students, displaying perfect coordination and discipline in drill. The Chief guest took salute from all the students of the 4 houses namely: Padma Shri Milkha Singh (The Green House), Abhinav Bindra (The Blue House), Padma Shri P.T. Usha (The Red House), Padma Bhushan Sh. Dhyan Chand (The Yellow House) and declared the Sports meet open.
Further, the students with great zeal and enthusiasm participated in various track events like 100mts, 200mts, 400mts, 800mts, 400mts relay, and field events such as long jump, high jump, shot put and javelin throw. Deputy Commissioner congratulated and acknowledged the principal Dr. NR Sharma for his meticulous effort in conducting this sports meet and emphasized that such events should be conducted in every college as it channelize the energy of all the youth in a proper and positive manner.
In his motivational speech, he advised everyone to participate in the field of sports and also explained the numerous benefits of participating in sports. He announced a total amount of Rs. 5 lakh for the installation of open gym in the college keeping in view the fitness and health of the students and athletes and the upgradation of the library. Further, he assured his services and assistance required for the upliftment of the college and students. Dr. NR Sharma thanked Deputy Commissioner for gracing the occasion and applauded his efforts in encourging the youth of punjab to take parts in games, stay healthy and fit and stay away from drugs.
The meet was graced with the presence of DC Rajesh Dhiman, who was the Chief Guest of the day, the guests of Honour, Shri Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross Ferozepur, Mr. Chand Prakash Election Tehsildar, Prof. Mukesh Arora, Fellow PU CHD, Dr. Sangeeta Sharma Principal Dev Samaj College, Prof. Inderjeet Singh, Principal, Guru Nanak College Ferozepur, National Awardy Principal Dr. Satinder Singh, Manmeet Singh Rubal, Hockey Coach, Ferozepur, Manmeet Singh Handa, Senior Hockey Player, Dr. G.S Dhillon, National Gold Medlist, S. Balveer Singh, Ex- sarpanch of Mohkam khan wala.
The students showcased their exemplary sportsmanship and displayed their competitive spirit in all the events. The athletic competition gave students a chance to show off their skills. The highlights of the event were the final races, where the fastest athletes from each grade displayed their athletic abilities. The winners were awarded medals and certificates for their exceptional performance.
The closing ceremony of 2nd annual athletic meet was a moment of pride and joy for all the participants. Prof. Mukesh Arora, Fellow, Panjab University, Chd honored the winners at the closing ceremony. 2nd annual athletic meet is a highly anticipated event that showcased incredible sporting talent and fierce competition. However, the efforts of all the participants were appreciated, and they were encouraged to continue their sports activities.
The 2nd annual athletic meet was a grand success.The sports meet came to an end with the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The function came to its culmination with the national anthem.Dr. NR Sharma in his speech thanked the guests for their benign presence and gracing the occasion and congratulated the staff and students on their achievements and the successful completion of 2nd annual athletic meet.
