Terming Asha workers as the backbone of health department, former minister and chairman Democratic Party Nationalist Ghulam Hassan Mir Saturday criticised government for underpaying this vital workforce of the important sector of health.According to a KNS correspondent, Mir said this while addressing a convention of Asha workers in Pattan, Baramulla today. Mir was a chief guest on the occasion.The convention was attended by hundreds of Asha workers belonging to cvarious villages of Pattan tensil.Mir said that BJP-PDP government has no moral ground to continue if it fails to address the concerns of Asha workers, who are not only underpaid but are getting salaries after  months of delay. He appealed government to address the concerns of Asha workers.
