A farmers’ awareness camp was held today under ‘Farmers Jagriti Campaign” here at village Gugara of Kahara zone.Besides farmers, the camp was attended by Sarpanches and Panches.The farmers were given detailed information with regard to various schemes launched by the department. They were told to avail the benefits of this scheme for making the farming a profitable activity.The farmers were asked to adopt latest techniques and use Hybrid seeds for better crops. The farmers were also informed about the benefits of Kissan Credit Card (KCC) and easy loans offered under the scheme for diversifying farming activity.The resource persons on the occasion included AEO Thathri, Amit Sharma, SDAO, Shahid Iqbal, Sunil Manhas and Tariq Hussain .The camp was held under the overall guidance of Chief Agriculture Officer Doda, H. K. Razdan.
