CBI registers seven more FIRs in Vyapam case

The CBI on Friday registered seven fresh FIRs and two more preliminary enquiries in its ongoing probe into the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.The first case was registered against 733 accused on allegations of cheating by impersonation, forgery, use of unfair means, possessions of illegal arms, and tampering of electronic evidence in Pre Medical Test (PMT) 2013 in connivance with officials of Vyapam, the CBI said in a release.the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the second case against four accused on allegations of cheating by impersonation in Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2012 conducted by Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam), or the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).

The third case was registered against four accused on allegations of cheating by impersonation, forgery, and use of unfair means in Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2012.The fourth case was registered against 153 accused on allegations of cheating by personation, forgery and use of unfair means in PMT 2009.Twenty people were booked in the fifth case on allegations of cheating by personation, forgery and use of unfair means in Forest Guard Recruitment Exam 2013.The sixth case was registered against 271 accused on allegations of cheating by personation, forgery and use of unfair means in PMT 2009.

The seventh case was registered against 46 accused on allegations of cheating by personation, forgery and use of unfair means in PMT 2009.The CBI has also registered the first preliminary enquiry in the unnatural death of Parmod Sharma, who was accused in six cases of STF Bhopal and one case of Police Station Jhansi Road in Madhya Pradesh.The second preliminary enquiry has been registered in the unnatural death of Narender Pal Singh, who was accused in one case.The CBI has already registered 84 FIRs and launched 12 preliminary inquiries into the Vyapam scam.The Supreme Court on July 9 handed over the Vyapam cases to the central investigating agency. Over 40 people linked with the scam have died under mysterious circumstances or committed suicide.
