Industries Minister, Chander Prakash Ganga, on Sunday laid foundation stone of various development works to be executed under MGNREGA and BADP in Khour Slaria, Kotli Matkalia, Nandpur Panchayat, Dagh, T.S. Pura and adjoining border belt of Vijaypur constituency. The Minister also kick started several works which inter-alia include construction of lanes and drains at Kotli Matkalia Panchayat Chack Staka, Dagh Panchayat Channi Satwal and T. S. Pura worth Rs. 15 lakh under BADP, besides construction of kacha paths at Mohalla Pritam and Dagh worth Rs. 5.50 lakh under MGNREGA.Chander Prakash directed the officers to take care of quality parameters while ensuring expeditious execution of these works as it is firm determination of the Government to create durable assets in the state.

Addressing a public meeting at Dagh, the Minister said that accelerating developmental pace with emphasis on growth of unattended and inaccessible pockets, is the core mantra of coalition government and striving hard in this direction. He said “we are determined to ensure that all areas of the State get equal opportunities of progress and development, adding that this calls for greater participation of people for successful results”.Referring to several initiatives of Central government being taken up to steer the nation towards new dimensions, the Minister said that in a very short span of time a number of innovative and pro-people programmes have been launched which speaks about the sincerity and credibility of the Modi government. He elaborated upon steps like Beti-Bachao Beti Padao and newly introduced pension schemes besides several changes being brought in existing education system to make it totally pragmatic to meet today’s trends.  He said that it is our endeavor to streamline power infrastructure in next two years besides ensuring connection of rural areas with rest of the world through internet network.

The Minister appealed the people to support the efforts of the government which are being initiated to improve their living standards. He said people are the best judges of actions of the government and  they must keep a strict monitoring over all works being executed in their respective areas. “Do not get swayed by false propaganda being unleashed by unscrupulous elements whose only motive is to make issues just to gain political mileage rather believe in those whom they have voted for a change”, he maintained. He said both the Coalition partners respect the mandate given by the people to them, but people have to keep patience as it takes time to bring back the shattered system on track.Earlier, the Minister inaugurated a free eye check up camp at Satsang Ghar Sarore, sponsored by Goyal Eye Clinic Bahu Plaza wherein over 500 patients were examined and provided free medicines.Dr. Ankur Goyal, Dr. Amit and Dr. Bhumesh attended the patients.
