Himachal Pradesh government has sent a 50 crore project to center to  modernize the facilities of bus passengers of the state . Stating this the transport minister of the state G S Bali said,” we have plan to cover  all passenger waiting areas under cctv network , to provide separate passenger facilities to women and to improve transport information systems in Himachal.” He said that old buses of the fleet of Himachal Road transport Corporation (HRTC) are being replaced by the new ones. “The first installment of 100 new buses will reach us any time after 13th December this year. HRTC is purchasing 1000 new buses,” said minister.Bali while talking to media at Dharamsala on Satureday said, ”HRTC is printing a weekly news letter ,giving all the information of transport of the state. And this booklet shell be distributed free to the passengers of Volvo and Delux buses.” Minister said that the HRTC have generated a 40 crore excess revenue this year as compared to last year, and 16 crore of it was generated in last 50 days. He said that the 4 new flying squads are being created to curve the law offenders on the roads.When asked minister said , “I have no rift with my fellow UD minister Sudhir Sharma .He is like my younger brother. What so ever in the paper is the brain child of media.” It was published in a section of press, that both the ministers are having differences in many fields.Minister said that two new government sector engineering collages shall be set up in Nagrota Bagwan and Rampur soon. Bali said that a high level delegation under the leadership of CM Vir Bhadra Singh will meet Sonia Gandhi, PM and the Health Minister requesting them to give Tanda Medical Collage, a states as par to AIIMS.
