Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, along with MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma, on Sunday launched plantation drive at Rotary Club, here as part of Van Mahotsav celebrations.Making a fervent appeal to the people for supplementing such efforts of massive afforestation by Rotarians, the dignitaries said that radically mounting urbanization and industrialization has raised the need of planting more and more trees. They said that all stakeholders must contribute in this noble cause in making a proper balance of things on earth while enjoying Nature’s wealth and blessings.The Dignitaries appreciated the Club for organizing such drives and expressed hope that they will carry forward the mission with same spirit and zeal for the benefit of posterity. They assured all support to the philanthropic organization in its endeavors of promoting interests of needy and deserving segments of the society besides such green projects.They said that government is keen to support the efforts of such organizations who are working hard for society’s good. President Rotary Club, Ashok Gupta informed that the Club has fixed a target of plantation of 2500 saplings during rainy season at various places.
