Former Minister and chairman Democratic Party Nationalist Ghulam Hassan Mir has asked state government to rerelease the pending salary of employees working under SSA, Aaganwadi workers, casual workers and other daily wagers keeping the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr in view. He condemned the use of force by police like of lathicharging on the protesting employees without salaries for months together, and said the “government highhandedness” was unacceptable.  In a statement issued here, Mir said that on one hand state government is making lofty claims of receiving huge funds from Central Government but on the other hand are making the employee suffer in want of salary. “Why doesn’t the state government release pending salaries of the employees when it claims to have received money from New Delhi,” he said, adding the poor employees are made to suffer unnecessarily, that too on the eve of Eid.
