District Development Commissioner Ramban Farooq Shah Bukhari today convened a high level meeting at Ramban and discussed arrangements made regarding the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2015.SSP Ramban, ADC, ACR, ACD, DSWO, CMO, Deputy Director F&E Services, Xen PWD and district officers of all the government departments, Prominent Citizens and representatives of Red Cross, NGOs attended the meeting It was given out in the meeting that for smooth passage of the yatra through the district, all the arrangements have been kept in place.The concerned Police officers were instructed to act promptly to avoid any traffic jam in the area which may discomfort the pilgrims. The DDC directed the PDD to arrange power generator and PHE authorities were instructed to arrange water tankers for water supply in case of emergency. He also directed all the essential departments to maintain close coordination with Yatra control room for providing timely services to the yatris.He asked Health department to provide more doctors at District Hospital Ramban and SKEH Batote to meet any emergency during the yatra.The DDC directed all the officers that any negligence from their part shall be dealt with seriously and action under rules shall be initiated against the erring officers.
