Arrangements for holy month of Ramadan were finalized at an officers’ meeting here today.Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad shah presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by ADC Baramulla, Engineers of various Departments, Tehsildars and executive officers of Municipal Committees of Baramulla district.
It was decided that un-interrupted power supply shall be provided to the people from 6.00 pm to 5.00.AM during Iftaar and Sehri Time. The PDD will ensure the repairs/Installation of street lights in Baramulla Town within Two days. The PHE will ensure water supply to the people. CA&PD Department was directed to ensure that the rations for the month of June is provided to the rationees by 18th June. The executive officers of municipal committees were asked to ensure cleanliness in the town and monitor the same regularly.
It was decided that a regular market checks shall be conducted by special teams comprising of CA&PD, Food safety, MC’s and Legal Metrology Department under the supervision of respective SDM’s, Tehsildars to ensure that only quality product are sold and prices are kept under control. ADC Baramulla has been nominated as nodal officer to monitor the conduct of market checks by special teams in all the markets of the Districts.
