Minister for Industries and Commerce and senior BJP leader Chander Parkash Thursday said there should be no disparity between Jammu and Srinagar and that the party would not oppose if IIT and IIM is given to Kashmir valley besides Jammu.Talking to KNS, Prakash said that the government is committed to fill the gap between Jammu and Kashmir and that the party has also put forth its demand of granting AIIMS to Jammu if it is given to Kashmir valley. “We have put forth our demand that AIIMS should be given to Jammu also of it is given to Kashmir valley. People of Jammu have been raising this issue and we are the representatives of people,” BJP minister said.When asked whether party would oppose if IIT and IIM is given to Kashmir valley as same has already being sanctioned for the Jammu region, Prakash said that the BJP would never act as a hurdle if IIT and IIM and other vital institutes are sanctioned for the valley. “Why should we oppose to such a move. We will never. We have a clear cut stand that there must be no disparity between Jammu and Srinagar.” (KNS)
