Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed deep shock and sorrow over the tragic bus accident near village Kauli (Patiala) in which four passengers were killed and about 21 injured, 5 seriously. This ill-fated bus of PRTC coming from Chandigarh for Patiala, when it collided with a road side tree after loosing balance.  Expressing profound grief and sorrow over this accident, Badal shared his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty to give them courage to bear this irreparable loss in the hour of crisis and grant peace to the departed souls. Meanwhile the Chief Minister also announced an Ex-Gratia grant Rs 1 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs. 25000/- to each seriously injured and free treatment to passengers of minor injury and seriously injured.. Badal also directed the District Administration to provide free treatment to all the injured.
