A sessions court here on Thursday set aside a magisterial court's order dismissing a criminal defamation complaint against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others, and directed the magistrate to hear it again.Special Judge Dinesh Kumar Sharma set aside the magisterial court's order and allowed a revision plea of petitioner Anuranjan Jha of media portal mediasarkar.com, which conducted a sting on AAP.The sting operation conducted prior to the 2013 Delhi's assembly election showed some AAP members allegedly accepting donations without proper verification.

Jha in November 2013 had filed a complaint case against Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Shazia Ilmi, Kumar Vishwas and Yogendra Yadav for defaming him and calling him a traitor, fraud and middleman. The magistrate had dismissed his plea on November 14, 2014.Jha then challenged the magisterial court's order. After hearing the submission of Jha, Judge Sharma remanded back the matter to the magisterial court and directed Jha to appear before it on April 20.
