Mountaineers, who recently climbed the 6303 meter high Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak in Lahaul-Spiti of Himachal Pradesh, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan today. This group included Rahul, Nikita Thakur and Ishani from Shimla district and Shubham Bisht from Mandi district.

The Governor congratulated the young mountaineers, praising their commendable efforts in promoting in promoting adventure tourism activities in the state. He highlighted that Himachal Pradesh is home to many unexplored mountain peaks that remain largely unknown to tourists and mountaineers. 

He emphasized that while many mountaineers from worldwide often choose Nepal for their expeditions because they are not aware about the existence of such places in Himachal Pradesh. He said that Himachal too is blessed with scenic as well as many adventure sights which offer equally majestic and challenging peaks that deserve recognition.

He said that Himachal Pradesh is well-known among tourists, and promoting mountaineering activities could attract global attention and significantly boost tourism in the state. This would, in turn, positively impact the state's economy. He stressed the importance of creating a strong network to support these activities, ensuring both the necessary facilities and safety measures are in place. 

Additionally, he called for increased publicity to raise awareness about these opportunities among potential adventurers worldwide. These young mountaineers also shared their experiences with the Governor. Secretary to the Governor Rajesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.

युवा पर्वतारोहियों ने राज्यपाल शिव प्रताप शुक्ल से भेंट की

प्रदेश के लाहौल-स्पीति जिला की 6303 मीटर ऊंची चोटी चौ-चौ-कांग नील्डा फतेह करने वाले पर्वतारोहियों ने आज राजभवन में राज्यपाल शिव प्रताप शुक्ल से शिष्टाचार भेंट की। पर्वतारोहियों के इस दल में जिला शिमला के राहुल, निकिता ठाकुर और इशानी तथा जिला मंडी के शुभम बिष्ट मौजूद रहे।

युवा पर्वतारोहियों को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए राज्यपाल ने कहा कि पर्वतारोहण के यह साहसिक प्रयास सराहनीय हैं और यह अन्य लोगों को भी पर्यटन गतिविधियों में भाग लेने के लिए प्रेरित करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश की कई चोटियां पर्यटन की दृष्टि से अनछुई हैं। 

दुनियाभर के पर्वतारोही पर्वतारोहण के लिए नेपाल और अन्य देशों की ओर रूख करते हैं। हिमाचल की खूबसूरत चोटियों को पर्वतारोहण जैसी गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने की आवश्यकता है।  राज्यपाल ने कहा कि हिमाचल एक प्रसिद्ध पर्यटन गंतव्य है। 

पर्वतारोहण जैसी साहसिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा प्रदान कर प्रदेश में पर्यटन क्षेत्र को प्रोत्साहित किया जाना चाहिए। इससे प्रदेश की अर्थव्यवस्था और सुदृढ़ होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में साहसिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा प्रदान करने के साथ-साथ इस क्षेत्र में सुविधाएं और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना भी अत्यन्त आवश्यक है। 

इन गतिविधियों का व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार किया जाना चाहिए। इस अवसर पर युवा पर्वतारोहियों ने राज्यपाल के साथ अपने अनुभव भी साझा किए। राज्यपाल के सचिव राजेश शर्मा भी इस अवसर पर उपस्थित थे।
