Senior member Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir and chairman Islamic Political Party-JK Muhammad Yousuf Naqash has expressed grief over the loss of life and property in Laiden area of Budgam district and urged people to hold special prayers to overcome flood situation.According to a party statement, Naqash along with several party members and activists including Mohammad Yousuf Mir, Showkat Ahmad Bhat,Irfan Ahmad and Bilal Ahmad Dar  visited many flood hit areas of Srinagar and extended possible support to the affected people.

Expressing condolence with the bereaved families of Liaden Budgam Naqash said our hearts go with the families who lost their loved ones due to the natural calamity. He also prayed for strength to the families to bear the irreparable loss.He said people should extend helping hand to each other in this moment of grief and should unite in overcoming the ongoing tragedies as they did during last year’s devastating floods.“Kashmiris showed to world that they always stood united in every crucial moment, be it against the forcible occupation or during the natural disasters. Our’s is a nation of courage and determination. We’ve braved all odds in a unique way and will continue to exhibit such spirit of brotherhood,” Naqash added.

IPP-JK chairman said India deliberately forced election drama last year soon after the devastating floods( when flood ravaged people were yet to come out of the trauma) to serve its purpose of strengthening the illegal occupation flood ravaged “If they (India) would have, at least, allowed the international aid to the state, a proper rehabilitation of affected people would have been done but they always showed unsympathetic and inhuman attitude to Kahmiris as we’re waging a freedom movement against its illegal occupation.”

Muhammad Yousuf Naqash reiterated his appeal to international community particularly the Muslim countries to extend their support in rehabilitating the flood ravaged Kashmir which is yet to recover from the September 2014 deluge. He also appealed local committees of Laiden Budgam to make every possible effort in rebuilding houses of the landslide victims and provide every necessary essentials to them and it is the moral and religious obligation of Muslims to take care of their fellow brethren. He castigated the puppet administration for its callous attitude towards the people for being criminally negligent towards undertaking proper mechanism aimed at impeding the possible flood threat which Kashmir witnessed and suffered again.
