Chief Justice of Nepal Calls on D.V. Sadananda Gowda

The Chief Justice of Nepal Ramkumar Prasad Shah along with a delegation today called on Union Law and Justice Minister Shri D.V. Sadananda Gowda here in New Delhi and requested him to make aware of the latest trends in the proposed judicial reforms. He said Nepal is highly inspired by the role of India’s judicial system in setting new norms for judicial reforms. Mr. Shah also sought Indian advice in the development of justice delivery system in their country. Welcoming the delegation Shri Sadananda Gowda said the judiciary in India has no interference from any quarter and its rulings and decisions are binding on the administrative machinery. He offered all possible help in the constitutional matters of Nepal if they desire so. During the talks Secretaries from the Department of Legal Affairs Shri P.K. Malhotra and Department of Justice Mrs. Kamaljit Sidhu were also present.
