Transport Minister requests liberal funds for integrated capacity building

Transport Minister, G.S.Bali called on Union Urban Development Minister, Kamal Nath in New Delhi.Shri G.S.Bali requested him to provide liberal funds for the integrated capacity building in transport sector for strengthening of transport network in the State. He requested the Union Minister for sanctioning of Rs. 471 crore for the purchase of 1,123 new buses for 11 clusters of the State and added that 3,824,909 cluster population will be benefited from the project.

He directed the Managing Director, HRTC, Dr. R.N.Batta to present the detailed DPRs of the all the eleven clusters in the next meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee to be held under the Chairmanship of Union Urban Development Secretary, Dr. Sudhir Krishna in New Delhi.Union Urban Development Minister, Shri Kamal Nath assured that Central Government will provide liberal funding to the State Government for strengthening the transport network in the State to facilitate the rural population who solely depend on road network in the State.
