Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that state was contemplating to rationalise collector rates in the state and decision into this effect will be implemented in the first week of April. In a detailed meeting with real estate developers gathered here from across the state, Mr. Badal accompanied by Revenue Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia said the collectors rates will be rationalised in the state besides sorting out the pending issues of developers in a stipulated time frame. On the demand of office bearers of coloniser associations, Mr. Badal also formed a committee of 19 members including 13 from associations and 6 representatives of state to resolve issues pertaining to developers.
Badal said the committee included Financial Commissioner Revenue, Principal Secretary Housing and members of coloniser association will hold a joint meeting to discuss issues and prepare a detailed dossier. He said the dossier will be submitted to government in two weeks. He said needful action will be taken in time bound manner for the facilitation of colonisers. Prominent amongst those present in the meeting Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Mr. Sarup Chand Singla and Mr. N.K. Sharma, MLA Mr. Deep Malhotra, Financial Commissioner Revenue Mr. Karan Avtar Singh, Principal Secretary Housing Mr. Vishwajit Khanna, Special Principal Secretary Mr. Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Mr. Ajay Mahajan and representatives of various coloniser associations of the state.
