Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Mr. Ajaz Jan said that the payment of compensation has been accelerated and efforts are afoot to ensure that payment of compensation is expedited to the remaining land owners.He said that Rs. 13.43 crore has already been paid as land compensation upto September 30, 2013 against Rs. 25 crore received for this purpose.He said in Poonch (Haveli) 1542 kanals, 8 marlas and 4 ½ sarsai has been acquired or are being acquired for construction of PMGSY roads adding that Rs. 5.57 crore have already been paid.
