Kiran Bedi, BJP's chief ministerial candidate in Delhi, Wednesday filed her nomination papers from the Krishna Nagar constituency for the Feb 7 assembly polls.Bedi reached the sub-pisional magistrate's (SDM) office around noon. She was accompanied by senior leaders Harsh Vardhan, Vijay Goel, Maheish Girri and Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay.Before filing her nomination, Bedi participated in a roadshow from the Lala Lajpat Rai chowk which culminated at the SDM's office.Bedi said union Minister Harsh Vardhan has done a lot of developmental work in the constituency.

"I hope people will accept me and vote for the BJP," Bedi told reporters before filing her nominations. Harsh Vardhan said: "I am sure that Bedi will win from the seat. The party is fighting collectively."Krishna Nagar is considered to be a traditional stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).In the last assembly poll, the party had fielded senior leader Harsh Vardhan, who is now a cabinet minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.The vote count takes place Feb 10.
