Two people were arrested and fake Indian currency notes (FICN) of the face value of nearly Rs.3 lakh seized from them near the Bangladesh border in West Bengal's Malda district, the Border Security Force (BSF) said Tuesday.Acting on intelligence inputs of fake notes being smuggled into from Bangladesh, BSF troopers intercepted Ruhul Sheikh and Jamirul Sheikh near Daultapur village in the district."FICN of face value of Rs.297,000 was recovered from them. The accused and the fake notes have been handed over to the local police," a BSF spokesperson said. The South Bengal Frontier of the BSF has seized fake currency with the face value of more than Rs.1.65 crore in the current year.
