Sirsa , 06 Oct 2014

As the D day is closing for Haryana, the Haryana Congress chief Dr. Ashok Tanwar has increased the pace of meetings and public interactions. Dr. Tanwar today addressed public meetings at Sirsa (Ding), Kalanwali (Gadrana, Baraguda), Dabwali (Odhan, Rania) and Ellenabad (Bhuratwala) Assembly segments.Attacking BJP for its silence on the ceasefire violations by the Pakistan and China, Dr. Tanwar today said that BJP had promised the nation to protect the nation from external as well as internal dangers but the continuous violations of ceasefire by Pakistan in Jammu & Kashmir has increased in last four months. He said that BJP used to promise that they won’t allow any such actions but surprisingly now it was keeping silence on Article 370 and regular violations by the neighbors. He condemned the cease fire violations in J&K by Pak infiltrators/army saying that BJP always created issues when such violations happened during Congress rule but now all previous records of infiltrations have been broken.

Dr Tanwar attacked BJP for it’s double speak on the issue of old age pension. He recalled that when Congress assumed power in Haryana, the Old age pension was at Rs. 200 per month and which has been increased upto Rs. 1000. After forming Congress Government, the old age pension would be increased to Rs. 1500 from November 1, he added. The promise of BJP to increase pension to Rs. 2000 is just an allure for the masses and BJP must first clarify, why it hasn’t started similar pension in BJP ruled states, he asked. Punjab gives just Rs. 250 pension where BJP is running the Punjab Government in collation with SAD. Rail fares and tatkal booking rates have been increased as an opening gift to the nation by BJP whereas the daily amenities are also not as cheap as they used to be during the UPA regime, he added.

Addressing the meetings near the Punjab border, Dr Tanwar said that MLA’s from Punjab and other states have been deputed in Haryana by SAD, INLD and BJP to corrupt the electoral process. BJP is alluring voters with unethical promises in manifesto whereas they did not fulfill similar promises in other BJP ruled states. BJP has temporarily lowered the rates of Petrol and LPG gas just to deceive the voters but soon after the elections these rates will be raised with interests.Dr Tanwar also scoffed off breaking and constituting alliances. BJP is playing tricks in entire India and is resorting to making and breaking alliances; similar is the case with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) which has an alliance with BJP in Punjab but in Haryana its batting and fielding for INLD, he added.

Dr. Tanwar appealed to the voters to make up their mind by learning about what Congress has done for them. He added that agriculture is the backbone of economy in Haryana but the farmers are getting frustrated due to the reduction in the prices of cotton and rice by BJP. BJP can’t keep up its promises and INLD can’t say truth, he further added.Haryana Congress President Dr Tanwar said that Haryana is the first state which has got the chance to improve the mistakes that were made in Lok Sabha elections and could begin the wave. He appealed the voters to exercise the votes in the favour of Congress on the 15th of October for keeping up the progress rate in Haryana.
