Kashmiris need international humanitarian aid to get their lives back on track: Yasin Malik

“Kashmiris will never forget the generosity of those who have and are coming to their rescue in this hour of need. We are highly obliged and thankful to our Sikh brothers, Muslims from various parts of India and some voluntary organizations who by sending relief for flood hit people of Kashmir have actually made us their debtors. Kashmiris are also human beings and need international humanitarian support and aid to get our lives back on track,” this was stated by the chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik while talking to the affected people at kaka road and Shaheed Gunj today.According to a statement issued to KNS, Malik who visited these floods hit areas distributed relief items among the affected people.  Shaheed Gunj area is totally devastated by the flood and about 1200 families living in this area are totally compelled to live under open skies as their residential houses have been shattered totally. 

On the occasion Yasin said that the scale of destruction and mayhem caused by recent floods is such high that we today need international support and aid to get out of the present worst situation. He said that international community, United Nations and OIC should fulfill their obligations regarding Kashmiris. UN has a relief, rescue and rehabilitation cell in place for such times and whenever disasters hit any area, international community, UN and OIC rush to help the affected people. He said that if international community failed to fulfill its duty regarding Kashmiris, It will be termed as its criminal silence.Yasin said that Kashmiris are also human beings and need this humanitarian support and aid to get our lives back on track.While thanking people who supported Kashmiris in this hour of grief, Yasin Malik said that we are obliged by our Sikh brethren, various Muslim organizations and people of India and voluntary organizations who sent relief material for the affected people and made us as their debtors. Yasin Malik thanked SSN Logistic Pvt. Ltd (Delivery) for sending its kind relief for the flood affected people of Kashmir. Yasin Malik thanked the CEO of the company Sahil Barua and others for their generosity. (KNS)
