MY Bharat Volunteers in Chandigarh Join Prime Minister's Virtual Interaction on Viksit Vibrant Village Programme

Around 30 MY Bharat volunteers and youth participants from Chandigarh today joined the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's virtual interaction with participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme from the Committee Room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Chandigarh.

The interaction was part of a nationwide programme that witnessed the participation of over 5,000 MY Bharat volunteers from 245 districts across the country. During the interaction, the Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of participants towards the development of India's border villages and reaffirmed the Government's commitment to building a strong, self-reliant and inclusive nation.

Addressing the participants, the Prime Minister highlighted the transformative initiatives being undertaken under the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme for the holistic development of border villages. He emphasized the important role of youth in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and encouraged them to actively contribute to nation-building through innovation, community service and developmental initiatives.

The programme in Chandigarh was attended by Shri Amandeep Singh Bhatti, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh; Shri Shivdhan Sharma, UT Director, MY Bharat; Shri Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Chandigarh; and Shri Mandeep, District Information Officer, Chandigarh. The dignitaries encouraged the youth to participate in community development and public service actively.

The interaction inspired the participating volunteers and reinforced MY Bharat's commitment to promoting youth leadership, civic engagement, and active participation in nation-building. On the Prime Minister's call for "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat," MY Bharat has also launched a Virtual Pledge on the MY Bharat Portal to encourage youth and citizens to join the nationwide movement against substance abuse. Citizens can take the pledge online and download an e-Certificate upon successful completion.
