Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said that the Rath Yatra of Bhagwan  Shree Jagannath is not merely a religious event, but a living message of India’s Sanatan culture, social harmony, service and the welfare of humanity. The yatra shows the path of love, service, equality and national unity, while working towards strengthening social bonds.

The Chief Minister said this  while  participating in the Bhagwan Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra organised in Rajpura, Punjab, on Wednesday. On this occasion he also  extended his greetings and best wishes to the devotees. Offering prayers  to Bhagwan ShreeJagannath, Balabhadra Ji and Mata Subhadra, he said that Bhagwan Shree Jagannath is the Lord of the entire humanity.

In His divine presence, there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, class, status or wealth. The biggest message of the Rath Yatra is that everyone is equal before God, and true devotion is based on love, service and dedication, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

The Chief Minister said that the thousands-of-years-old Rath Yatra of Bhagwan Shree Jagannath is a glorious symbol of India’s cultural heritage. During this yatra, thousands of people come together to pull the chariot, without anyone being asked about their caste, language or social status. This reflects the essence of Sanatan culture and the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ in its truest form.

He said that India’s culture has always conveyed the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family). At a time when the world is facing challenges such as division, violence and conflicts, the Rath Yatra of Bhagwan Shree Jagannath provides a new direction to humanity by spreading the message of love, service, brotherhood and unity, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

The Chief Minister also appreciated the service initiatives of the ISKCON and said that for the past two decades, this spiritual and cultural organization has been working towards bringing positive change in society through initiatives related to values, Gau Seva, propagation of the Gita, food distribution, youth awakening and humanitarian service.

He congratulated all the volunteers associated with this noble mission.Former Minister,  Sh. Aseem Goel and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
