The sacred Prakash Diwas of Sri Sri 108 Satguru Gyan Nath Maharaj Ji was celebrated today with great devotion, reverence and religious fervour at his birthplace, Village Manawala in Amritsar district. A large number of devotees gathered on the occasion to pay obeisance and seek the blessings of Satguru Ji.
Punjab Public Works Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO attended the religious congregation as the chief guest. He paid obeisance at the holy shrine of Satguru Gyan Nath Maharaj Ji and extended his heartfelt greetings to the devotees on the auspicious occasion of the Prakash Diwas.
Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that Satguru Gyan Nath Maharaj Ji devoted his life to spreading the message of truth, selfless service, love, brotherhood and universal harmony. He stated that the teachings of great saints continue to guide society even today and inspire people to work for the welfare of humanity.
He further said that such religious congregations play a significant role in strengthening communal harmony, mutual respect and social unity. Reiterating the commitment of the Punjab Government towards respecting all religions and faiths, he said that the state government celebrates the birth anniversaries and religious occasions of revered spiritual leaders with due reverence.
He also highlighted that under the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme, the Punjab Government is facilitating free pilgrimage tours for devotees to various prominent religious destinations across the country.Among those present on the occasion were Delhi MLA Dr. Ajay Dutt, Punjab Chairman Chandan Grewal, Vice Chairman of the Punjab Khadi Board Pawan Kumar Hans, Chairman Amritpal Singh, Balwinder Gill, Babbu Gill, along with several eminent personalities, religious leaders and a large gathering of devotees.
