Constituency MLA and Chief Spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party, S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, attended the event as the Chief Guest. After the telecast, S. Dhaliwal addressed a large gathering of mothers, daughters and party volunteers at the party office.
He warmly welcomed the beneficiaries of the scheme and thanked Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for fulfilling the government's election guarantee by crediting financial assistance from July 1. During his address, S. Dhaliwal stated that the government led by Chief Minister S. He informed that, following extensive preparations by the Punjab Government, nearly 5 million women aged 18 years and above were successfully registered under the scheme. Of these, 97% received the financial assistance on the very first day of its implementation.
He added that the Punjab Government has earmarked ₹9,300 crore for the scheme. To ensure its effective implementation, around 200,000 Mahila Satkar Sakhis have been deployed across the state to facilitate the registration of eligible beneficiaries.
Registration has also been carried out through Anganwadi Centres, Seva Kendras, Suvidha Centres, and other locations specially designated by Deputy Commissioners in different districts. He clarified that eligible women who have not yet registered under the scheme can still complete their registration and avail themselves of the benefits in the coming days.
