Gujarat's official investment promotion agency, iNDEXTb, has been awarded a Guinness World Records certificate for bringing together 350 exhibitors within just 11 days for a business exposition held in Surat earlier this year.

The certificate was presented by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held in Vadodara on Monday, recognising what organisers described as a world record for the "highest number of exhibitors assembled in an 11-day period".

"Glad that we made it to the Guinness Book of World Records! Our team received the @GWRcertificate for an incredible feat - onboarding 350 exhibitors in just 11 days during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference - South Gujarat held in Surat in May-2026.

It highlights not only top-tier organizational teamwork but also underscores Gujarat's massive appeal as the most preferred investment destination," wrote CM Patel on X. The record was achieved through a collaboration between iNDEXTb and K and D Communication Limited for the Business Exposition organised in Surat on May 2.

According to the organisers, a total of 350 exhibitors participated in the event after being brought together within the 11-day timeframe, earning recognition from Guinness World Records. Presenting the certificate during the summit, the Chief Minister acknowledged the achievement by iNDEXTb, which serves as the state's official investment promotion agency.

The agency functions as a single point of contact for investors seeking to establish or expand operations in Gujarat. It assists investors by facilitating approvals, providing policy guidance and coordinating with government departments to simplify the investment process.

"iNDEXTb has played a significant role in supporting Gujarat's industrial growth by helping attract investments and providing institutional support to businesses," officials said. Its work also contributes to the state's broader socio-economic development by facilitating industrial projects and improving the "ease of doing business".

The presentation of the Guinness World Records certificate formed part of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit programme in Vadodara, where government representatives, industry stakeholders and other dignitaries were present.

Those attending the event congratulated iNDEXTb on the recognition and commended its contribution to promoting industrial development in Gujarat. Chief Minister Patel also unveiled eight new Smart GIDC Estates spread across five districts, marking the latest expansion of the state's industrial infrastructure during the inaugural session of the summit.
