A delegation of students from Delhi University (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) visited the Martyr ADDC Dr Raj Kumar Thapa Memorial, Museum and Library in Rajouri, paying homage to the martyred officer and gaining insights into his public service and legacy.

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma interacted with the students and highlighted the life, service and sacrifice of Martyr Additional District Development Commissioner Dr Raj Kumar Thapa, describing him as a people-centric officer whose commitment to public welfare left a lasting impact on the district.

The DC also briefed the students on the collective efforts undertaken during Operation Sindoor, emphasising the role played by civil society organisations, NGOs, volunteers and local population in supporting the district administration and how coordinated action ensured timely relief to affected populations.

The students appreciated the initiative to preserve the memory and contributions of Dr Raj Kumar Thapa and suggested inclusion of additional books and reference material on the Line of Control, border studies and the India-Pakistan wars to enrich the library's academic value.
