Under the Meri Rasoi Scheme, launched by the Punjab Government for the welfare of the common people, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora today distributed 700 ration kits to eligible beneficiary families at Shahpur Kalan village. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that the Punjab Government is committed to the welfare of every section of society and is ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every needy person.

He said that the objective of the Meri Rasoi Scheme is to provide relief to underprivileged families. The Cabinet Minister said that Meri Rasoi is one of the largest initiatives in the country aimed at providing nutritious food support to needy families.

Under this scheme, around 4 million economically weaker families across the state are being provided ration kits. Arora said that previous governments had limited welfare measures to the distribution of wheat and pulses only, whereas the Punjab Government has made comprehensive efforts to ensure that all essential items required for daily kitchen needs are made available to needy families.

Under the Meri Rasoi Scheme, each beneficiary family receives a specially prepared ration kit every three months, which includes mustard oil, pulses, sugar, salt, turmeric, and other essential household kitchen items. He said that the scheme has been designed keeping in mind the needs of ordinary families, especially women who manage household responsibilities.

He added that a strong and prosperous Punjab can only be built when every household kitchen remains functional and no child goes to bed hungry. The Punjab Government aims to ensure that every household has access to nutritious and essential food items so that children do not suffer from weakness caused by the lack of a balanced and healthy diet.

Through transparent delivery systems, quality food kits, and wider outreach to economically weaker sections, the Punjab Government has further strengthened its commitment to building a healthier and stronger Punjab. The Cabinet Minister added that if anyone faces any difficulty in availing the benefits of the scheme, they can contact him directly.

He assured that no one would be allowed to face inconvenience and that any issues would be resolved promptly. He further said that during the last four years, the Punjab Government has taken several historic decisions for public welfare, and the impact of development works is clearly visible at the grassroots level.

He appealed to the villagers to avail themselves of the government’s welfare schemes to the fullest. During the event, beneficiary families thanked the Punjab Government and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, saying that these ration kits would prove to be a great support for them.

Panchayat members, prominent personalities, and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
