With the objective of ensuring the economic empowerment and social dignity of women, the Punjab Government has launched the Mukhyamantri Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana. To ensure its effective implementation at the grassroots level, a special training session for Mahila Satkar Sakhis was conducted for the second consecutive day today at Inder Farm, Jandiala Guru.

During the training, the Sakhis were provided detailed information regarding the scheme guidelines, eligibility criteria, application process, and beneficiary registration procedures. On the first day of training, held on June 13, Mahila Satkar Sakhis associated with 110 polling booths of the Jandiala Guru Assembly Constituency were covered, while today the remaining Sakhis from 106 polling booths received training.

Punjab Public Works Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. attended the programme as the chief guest and addressed the trainees. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is fully committed to strengthening the economic position of women, and it is with this objective that the historic Mukhyamantri Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana has been launched.

The Cabinet Minister informed that under the scheme, eligible women belonging to the General Category will receive ₹1,000 per month, while eligible women belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category will receive ₹1,500 per month as financial assistance. He further stated that the financial assistance under the scheme will commence from July 1, 2026.

Mr. Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. said that all necessary arrangements for the successful implementation of the scheme have been completed by the Punjab Government. He added that a large number of women had expressed their willingness to serve as Mahila Satkar Sakhis, and therefore they are being provided comprehensive technical and practical training regarding every aspect of the scheme.

During the training session, master trainers and supervisors familiarized the Mahila Satkar Sakhis with the application process, eligibility conditions, required documents, beneficiary identification, and registration procedures. The Sakhis were also informed about their important role in conducting door-to-door outreach in their respective areas to spread awareness about the scheme and assist eligible women in availing its benefits.

The Cabinet Minister further stated that the Punjab Government has fulfilled its promises and guarantees to the people one after another. He said that the Mukhyamantri Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana was one of the government's key guarantees and is now being implemented on the ground.

The scheme will provide significant financial support to women and enable them to contribute more effectively towards the economic well-being of their families. He appealed to the Mahila Satkar Sakhis to work with dedication, responsibility, and commitment to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach every eligible woman.

Officials of the department, master trainers, supervisors, Mahila Satkar Sakhis, and a large number of women were present on the occasion.
