Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has established itself as one of the world’s leading start‑up hubs, while development and welfare initiatives are reaching the last mile of society.

Addressing the media at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state headquarters in Krishnanagar, Agartala, Saha said the country was on the verge of witnessing a historic milestone as Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed 12 years in office.

“We are about to witness a historic moment. Narendra Modi has completed an extraordinary journey of 12 years as the Prime Minister of India. This journey represents transformation, fulfilled aspirations and the building of a New India.

During this period, confidence, development, innovation and competitiveness have flourished across the country,” he said. The Chief Minister said the manner in which the Prime Minister had elevated India’s standing globally had earned the nation unprecedented respect.

He said the way PM Modi had governed the country continuously for 12 years would be written in the pages of history. On behalf of the BJP’s Tripura unit, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the people of the country for their continued support and faith in the Prime Minister’s leadership.

“Along with this, I extend my sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, one of the longest‑serving Prime Ministers of the country. If we count the days, he has served as Prime Minister for 4,399 days, a record that will be remembered in history.

We have seen many Prime Ministers before him, but Narendra Modi has distinguished himself by working tirelessly to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people. It is because of this commitment that he has earned the trust and confidence of citizens across the country,” he said.

Describing PM Modi as an example of accountability and integrity in public life, Saha said the country had witnessed transparent governance and effective coordination under his leadership. “We have seen a government committed to transparency, accountability and innovation.

We have witnessed a unique blend of responsibility towards citizens and a vision for progress. The Prime Minister’s guiding principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ reflects his commitment to building a developed India,” he said.

The Chief Minister further said that PM Modi’s visionary leadership had brought significant changes across multiple sectors and strengthened India’s position on the global stage. “He has given special emphasis to strengthening the banking sector and ensuring financial inclusion.

Under his leadership, India has emerged as one of the world’s leading economies. Several countries have entered into strategic partnerships and agreements with India. Major reforms have been implemented, while financial discipline and good governance have been firmly established,” Saha said.

Highlighting the government’s efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, he said initiatives such as Start‑up India had created a strong ecosystem for young entrepreneurs and innovators. “A vibrant environment for innovation has been created through flagship programmes like Start‑up India.

As a result, India has established itself as one of the leading start‑up hubs in the world. The country is making rapid progress in technology, research and innovation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development is reaching every section of society, including those at the grassroots level,” he added.

The Chief Minister also said that India had witnessed remarkable growth in the digital economy under the Prime Minister’s leadership. “Transparency has increased significantly across various sectors. India has secured a prominent position in the digital economy and today ranks among the world’s leading nations in digital transactions.

The Prime Minister is also promoting the immense potential of the country’s youth, particularly in the field of sports, and is working relentlessly for their development. Under his leadership, India’s standing in the global sporting arena is steadily strengthening,” Saha said.

During the media briefing, BJP Tripura state President Abhishek Debroy, party Vice‑President Tapas Bhattacharya and other senior party leaders were present.
