District Development Commissioner Doda Krishan Lal today chaired a meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex Doda.

The committee scrutinised applications received under the JKREGP scheme, which aims to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among unemployed youth in the district. Out of 53 applications placed before the committee, 27 cases were approved, while the remaining applications were either rejected or kept on hold for further consideration.

The committee examined various project proposals submitted by aspiring entrepreneurs seeking financial assistance under the scheme. Interacting with the applicants, the DDC assessed their innovative business ideas and startup proposals. He encouraged the prospective beneficiaries to establish sustainable, employment-generating enterprises and assured them of full support from the district administration.

Emphasising the importance of the timely implementation of self-employment initiatives, Krishan Lal directed the officers concerned to ensure proper verification and expeditious processing of eligible cases so that deserving beneficiaries can avail themselves of the benefits without delay.

Among those present were Chief Planning Officer, Lead District Manager, District Officer (KVIB), District Employment Officer and officials from the District Industries Centre, ARTO, ITI and other departments concerned.
