Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday asserted that Madhya Pradesh is progressing with a firm resolve towards inclusive development, innovation, and public welfare. He made these remarks during the 11th meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council, held in New Delhi and chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Participating in the high-level meeting, Yadav apprised the council of the state's proactive initiatives for the holistic development of all sections of society. He emphasised Madhya Pradesh's active contribution to the national goal of 'Viksit Bharat @2047' through good governance and people-centric policies.

Highlighting a major achievement, the Chief Minister informed the gathering that Madhya Pradesh has successfully eradicated Naxalism ahead of the Central Government's timeline. He announced that development works in the previously Naxal-affected areas would now be accelerated, with special focus on youth empowerment, women and girl child development, farmers' welfare, and improvement in healthcare infrastructure.

Yadav told the meeting that the state is leading in implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme. New medical colleges are being established, and 'Aarogya Mandirs' (Health and Wellness Centres) are functioning effectively. The government is also preparing for river-linking projects to boost irrigation and agriculture.

Through PM-SHRI colleges, students are being connected to diverse academic streams, while skill development and industrialisation efforts have gained momentum. The Chief Minister mentioned the establishment of the country's first PM MITRA Park in Dhar district, where industrial units are expected to begin operations in record time.

Additionally, the state is focusing on the safe disposal of waste from the Union Carbide factory in Bhopal, alongside launching multiple new public welfare schemes. The NITI Aayog meeting focused on critical themes, including foundational human capital and future-ready skills; productive employment and entrepreneurship; decentralised development; health and nutrition; and ensuring equity and dignity for all.

Deliberations also explored strategies to promote entrepreneurship, enhance skills, and generate sustainable employment opportunities. Yadav reaffirmed that Madhya Pradesh remains committed to coordinated efforts with the Centre and other states to realise the vision of a developed India. The state's consistent progress in multiple sectors reflects its dedication to inclusive and sustainable growth.
