Educational opportunity met environmental responsibility at Lovely Professional University (LPU) as recipients of the prestigious Bharti Airtel Scholarship joined hands with Bharti Airtel to plant over 180 saplings across the campus on World Environment Day. The participating students are among 54 LPU scholars who have secured the highly competitive Bharti Airtel Scholarship, emerging successful from a nationwide pool of more than 7,000 applicants from India's premier institutions, including premier IITs and NITs.

Together, the scholarships secured by these students exceed ₹5 crore under the prestigious Bharti Airtel Scholarship programme. Designed to remove financial barriers to quality education, the scholarship covers tuition fees, hostel accommodation, and meals for the entire duration of their degree programmes, while also providing each recipient with a laptop to support their academic and professional growth.

The growing number of LPU students securing the scholarship reflects the university's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student success on national platforms. Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, stated, "Education should never be limited by financial circumstances.Every deserving and talented student must have access to opportunities that enable them to realise their full potential.

Scholarships play a transformative role in empowering young minds, especially those who come from modest backgrounds. LPU is committed to ensure that merit, dedication and aspiration are always supported, enabling students to focus on learning, innovation and contributing meaningfully to society."

LPU continues to advance its commitment to accessible and inclusive education through one of India's most extensive scholarship ecosystems, offering financial support across merit based, LPUNEST, CUET, JEE, NEET, CAT, GATE, and CLAT categories, along with dedicated scholarships for defence personnel families, educators' wards, orphan students, students with disabilities, sports achievers, startup founders, researchers, and economically weaker sections.

Complementing these initiatives is the university's pioneering "Earn Your Fee Back" ecosystem, which enables students to gain industry exposure and generate income through live projects, consultancy assignments, internships, hackathons, startups, and innovation driven ventures while pursuing their studies. Together, these opportunities ensure that financial constraints do not limit access to quality education, empowering students to learn, innovate, and build successful careers.
