Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday recalled the massive public mandate received by the NDA two years ago and said the coalition government in the state is working to fulfil the people’s hopes and aspirations. He stated that with welfare, development, and good governance as its goals, the government is striving for the welfare of every section, including farmers, women, youth, employees, and labourers.

The Chief Minister shared his thoughts on ‘X’ on Thursday to mark two years of the people’s verdict. It was on June 4, 2024, that votes polled in simultaneous elections to the state Assembly and Parliament were counted. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president said that the day will forever shine in the history of Andhra Pradesh.

“Today marks two years since that historic day when the people delivered an unprecedented verdict to steer the state from destruction toward development. That victory was not power for us. It was the great responsibility entrusted by the people for the state's reconstruction.

Honoring that responsibility, we are working every moment to fulfill the people's hopes and aspirations,” he said. “With welfare, development, and good governance as our goals, we are striving for the welfare of every section, including farmers, women, youth, employees, and laborers.

An egalitarian society without disparities and the development of all regions is our aim. Upholding the people's trust, our resolve is to make the state healthy, wealthy, and happy. With humble assertion that we are governing in a manner that respects that verdict and makes the people proud, we thank each and every one who stood in support,” CM Naidu added.

Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu said in his social media post that under the exemplary leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the reconstruction of the state is progressing at a rapid pace in accordance with the historic mandate given by the people.

He praised Chandrababu Naidu for his leadership. “From the path of destruction to development, your vision and hard work in Andhra Pradesh's steps are invaluable. Upholding the trust placed in us by the people, with the welfare and development of all sections as the goal, we are all committed to transforming the state into a 'Healthy, Wealthy, Happy Andhra Pradesh' by following into your footsteps,” posted Atchannaidu.

“Winning 164 out of 175 assembly constituencies isn't just words. It's a historic record. This is a testament to the people's trust in Chandrababu garu's leadership. For the past two years, the coalition government has been steadfastly working for the people's welfare and development to uphold that trust,” reads a post from the official ‘X’ handle of the TDP.

The coalition comprising TDP, Jana Sena and BJP bagged 164 seats in a 175-member Assembly. The NDA also won 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
