District Development Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today conducted a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Panchayat Ghar Sersundwan in Block Bhomag to listen and address public issues and developmental concerns.

A large number of residents from Sersundwan and adjoining areas participated in the camp and putforth demands related to road connectivity, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare, education, irrigation, tourism development and other civic amenities.

Residents sought priority for local youth in employment opportunities linked to railway projects and raised concerns regarding compensation for land and structures. They also highlighted staff shortages in health institutions and Government High School Sersundwan, the need for a receiving station to improve power supply, development of tourism infrastructure, early commissioning of the Water Lift Irrigation Scheme at Bangan Devta, construction of a community hall and provision of an ambulance facility.

The DDC heard the grievances and assured the public that all genuine issues would be taken up with concerned departments for prompt redressal. He directed officers present to resolve public issues in a time-bound manner and ensure effective delivery of government services at the grassroots level.

The DDC assured residents that staff shortage in the health and education sector would be addressed shortly. He directed the PWD to complete all pending NOCs required for commencement of work on the Sujandhar–Mohali Talab Road and asked the department to take up the matter of road repairs with the concerned authorities.

The DDC also instructed the Programme Officer, POSHAN, to rationalise the deployment of Anganwadi Workers in the area and assured residents that efforts were underway to restore drinking water supply at the earliest. The BDO Bhomag was directed to undertake repair and renovation of the Panchayat Ghar at Sersundwan.

The DDC assured the public that the proposal for construction of a community hall would be considered in the next financial year. He directed Tehsildar Bhomag to ensure timely resolution of public grievances and maintain close coordination with concerned departments.

During the camp, the DDC reviewed the progress of PMGSY road projects in the area, examined issues affecting implementation and assessed the status of the tendering process. He directed concerned officers to complete joint verification at the earliest and ensure timely commencement of the road projects.

Additional District Development Commissioner Krishan Lal, Chief Planning Officer Narinder Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development Mukesh Sharma, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and JPDCL, Tehsildar Bhomag and other district officers were present on the occasion.
