The Haryana Government is fully committed to providing better, modern and accessible healthcare facilities to every citizen of the state. Moving forward in this direction with a historic initiative, 9 important projects are set to be launched under the ‘Swasth Haryana -Samriddh Haryana Abhiyan’. Haryana Health, Medical Education & Research and AYUSH Minister Arti Singh Rao, while sharing details, said these visionary projects will be inaugurated and foundation stones laid at a grand ceremony to be held tomorrow, May 29, at 2:00 PM at PWD Rest House, Sector-1, Panchkula.

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will be the chief guest at the event and will dedicate all these healthcare services to the public. The Health Minister described the campaign as a major milestone towards modernising and strengthening the healthcare infrastructure of the state.

Giving detailed information, she said that Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will inaugurate 30 health institutions built at a cost of Rs. 22.29 crore and lay the foundation stone of 16 new health institutions to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 21.50 crore for strengthening healthcare infrastructure. Along with this, a state-of-the-art rest house for attendants of patients will also be laid at District Civil Hospital, Sonipat, at an estimated cost of Rs. 6.45 crore.

She further informed that dedicated ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ (SNSP) Clinics will be launched in 23 district hospitals of the state at an annual cost of Rs. 0.34 crore to provide specialised healthcare services for women. To ensure that expensive and critical medical tests are available to the general public either free of cost or at highly affordable rates, major expansion has been undertaken under the PPP model.

Under this initiative, MRI services costing Rs. 12 crore will be started at district hospitals in Panipat and Kurukshetra, while CT Scan services costing Rs. 10 crore will be launched at the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Bahadurgarh and District Hospital, Dadri. Arti Singh Rao further said that Tele-ECG services are being established in 600 health institutions across the state for timely diagnosis and immediate treatment of heart diseases, with an annual expenditure of Rs. 3 crore.

Providing relief to kidney patients, free dialysis services will now be available at Maharishi Chyawan Medical College, Koriawas (Narnaul) and Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Medical College, Chhainsa (Faridabad). To provide branded medicines to the public at highly affordable and concessional rates, ‘Amrit Pharmacies’ will also be inaugurated in 23 district hospitals at a cost of Rs. 1.73 crore.

The Health Minister further informed that hospitals in the state are also being equipped with modern equipment through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships with the private sector. Under this initiative, anaesthesia workstations and defibrillators worth Rs. 3.60 crore, X-ray machines and 150 Truenat machines worth Rs. 20.50 crore, and 24 ICU beds worth Rs. 1.84 crore have been included.

In addition, to effectively deal with any emergency situation or disaster management, the Health Department is providing special training to 4,600 ASHA workers across the state so that immediate relief can be ensured at the rural level. Arti Singh Rao said under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the sole objective of the government is to ensure better healthcare services even to every person, and this campaign will write a new golden chapter in the healthcare history of the state.
