A grand felicitation ceremony was organised by the Kukhrian Charitable Trust (Lala Buta Ram Market) to honour over 150 meritorious students who excelled in Class 10 and 12 examinations in 2026. The event was held at Jain Hall amid an enthusiastic gathering of students, parents, educationists and social representatives.

MLA Jammu East Constituency, Yudhvir Sethi graced the event as the Chief Guest  and former Minister and BJP State Vice President, Priya Sethi as Guest of Honour and congratulated the students for their hard work, discipline and dedication towards academics. 

Others prominent persons present on the occasion included Subash Chander Sethi, Rajinder Seth, Rajesh Gupta (BJP Jammu District President), Sunil Jain (President, Jain Sabha), Devkinand Jain (Vice President, Jain Sabha), Adarsh Jathiar (East Mandal President), Swati Sharma (Amphalla Mandal President), Anuradha Sharma (President Jammu District Mahila Morcha), Arun Sethi (OBC Morcha President), Anita Rajput (Bajalta Mandal President Mahila Morcha), Shivani Sharma (Amphalla Mandal President Mahila Morcha), Nidhi Magotra (Ex-Corporator Ward 16), Anil Masoom (Ex-Corporator Ward 10),  Parveen Kerni (former East Mandal President), Suneet Raina (General Secretary Jammu District), Preeti Sharma (Mahila Morcha East Mandal President), Chakshu Kapoor (BJP Mahila Morcha State Publicity Incharge), Raman Sharma (former President Amphalla Mandal), Savita Anand, Sanjay Mahey, Rajinder Tikku, Asha Gupta, Sanjay Abrol, Harvinder Singh and Majid Khan.

During the ceremony, students securing outstanding marks of above 95 per cent were presented with certificates and mementos in recognition of their achievements. Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said that students are the real strength of the nation and their success reflects the bright future of society. 

He appreciated the efforts of parents and teachers in guiding children towards excellence and urged students to remain committed to knowledge, innovation and moral values. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular “Mann Ki Baat” initiative, Yudhvir Sethi said the programme has become a source of inspiration for youth across the country. 

“Through Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continuously motivates students, innovators, sportspersons and young achievers to contribute positively towards nation building. Such initiatives create confidence among the younger generation and encourage them to dream big,” he said.

He further stated that the Central Government has launched several youth-oriented and education-focused initiatives aimed at empowering students and creating better opportunities for skill development and higher education. Congratulating the achievers, she extended her best wishes to all students who passed with flying colours and appreciated the efforts of parents and teachers in guiding them towards success and a brighter future.

Members of the Kukhrian Charitable Trust highlighted the organisation’s continued commitment towards educational encouragement and social welfare activities. They said recognising talented students not only boosts their confidence but also inspires others to strive for academic excellence. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and best wishes for the students’ future endeavours.
