Addressing a press conference at the BJP State Headquarters in Chandigarh today, BJP National General Secretary Shri Tarun Chugh launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government, declaring that the Bhagwant Mann regime has reduced Punjab to the capital of corruption, crime and drugs. He said that a party which came to power claiming to be the "party of staunch honest people" has today become the party of staunch dishonest people.

Tarun Chugh stated that corruption has been completely institutionalised under this government, and the Vigilance Department itself — created to curb corruption — is now drowning in the swamp of corruption. On the mining scam, Tarun Chugh said that Arvind Kejriwal had personally flown to Chandigarh to promise Rs. 20,000 crore in the state exchequer, but the records show that even a thousand crore has not materialised, amounting to a loot of nearly Rs. 19,200 crore.

On the Sutlej dam tragedy, he asserted that this was not a natural disaster but a man-made calamity born of illegal mining by AAP workers. Villagers had been protesting and filing FIRs since April 2025, yet the lust for corruption was so overwhelming that 2100 villages in Punjab were submerged.

Tarun Chugh said that every year under AAP rule has brought a fresh assault on Punjab — gangsters in the first year, extortion in the second, looting gangs in the third, and now in the fourth — institutionalised corruption and torture centres. He revealed that AAP MLAs, Ministers and Presidents are openly running torture centres.

Citing the Amritsar case, he said a Minister built a torture centre inside his own residence, forced officers to sign documents and stamp papers, and diverted tenders to his cronies — yet the principal accused has not been arrested to this day. Tarun Chugh also exposed the new extortion mechanism — BNRP (monthly amounts) being collected from officers along with forced signatures on stamp papers.

Referring to the ED action against Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora, Tarun Chugh said that ED has concrete documentary evidence of Rs. 100 crore money laundering, yet the Punjab Government is holding press conferences standing alongside the accused. He said, "Protecting those who loot Punjab is not 'Punjab Pride', Bhagwant Mann Sahib — you should be ashamed."

On the alarming drug crisis, Tarun Chugh recalled the AAP MLA's own admission in the Assembly — "Pizza delivery may be late in Punjab, but drug delivery is never late." The case of churi being sold from Punjab Police vehicles is deeply alarming, and both "Yudh Nashiyan Virudh" and "Rangla Punjab" have collapsed.

Tarun Chugh said that in today's Punjab, the murder of sarpanches, firing at weddings, killing of shopkeepers, and threat calls to every major doctor, hospital and industrialist have become routine. He declared that AAP controls all three pillars — Khaki (police), Khadi (politicians) and Babu (bureaucracy) — and uses all three to loot Punjab.

Twenty-four hours before Operation Sindoor, Amritsar Cantt and Jalandhar BSF Chowk were targeted. Rocket launcher attacks on police stations, firing on temples and gurdwaras, bombing of BJP offices — the government has no answer. The DGP says Pakistan link, while the Chief Minister blames the BJP.

Tarun Chugh made it clear that a 7-day notice was given which expires tomorrow — if no evidence is produced, legal action will follow. Tarun Chugh said Bhagwant Mann's days in office are numbered, and the entire Punjab is saying — Bye Bye Kejriwal, Bye Bye Bhagwant Mann, Bye Bye Aam Aadmi Party. Hitting back on the "gaddar" rhetoric, he said that the entire founding team of Kejriwal's India Against Corruption movement — Kiran Bedi, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Shazia Ilmi, Swati Maliwal, Raghav Chadha, Bhagwant Maan Ghuggi and the Gurdaspur State President — has all left the party.

Tarun Chugh sharply concluded — "Punjab is suffering, while Bhagwant Mann is busy entertaining his masters." He appealed to the people of Punjab to give a chance to a double-engine government, just as the BJP transformed BIMARU states into engines of growth, it will restore Punjab to prosperity and security.
