Two students from Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, namely Bhuvan from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Palak from the Department of Electrical Engineering, were appreciated for their dedicated contribution to the Sarathi Project at PGI Chandigarh. The initiative is a structured community engagement programme aimed at providing patient assistance, hospital navigation support, and service facilitation within healthcare settings.

The students actively contributed to the month-long project with sincerity and commitment, assisting patients and visitors in navigating hospital services while supporting the smooth functioning of various public assistance activities at PGI. Their efforts were acknowledged and appreciated by senior administrative leaders and dignitaries including Shri Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh; Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Education, UT Chandigarh Administration; Vivek Lal, Director, PGIMER Chandigarh; and Pankaj Rai, Deputy Director (Administration), PGIMER Chandigarh, along with other distinguished dignitaries.

The recognition reflects the spirit of social responsibility and public service among PEC students and highlights the institution’s continued emphasis on community-oriented initiatives and holistic student development.
