Nasha Mukt J&K Mega Padyatra : Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat extends invitation to diverse range of stakeholders

As part of the preparation for upcoming Nasha Mukt J&K Mega Padyatra scheduled in the district on May 09, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, today held a series of meetings with a diverse range of stakeholders.

The meetings were attended by ex public representatives, village committee members, sports personalities, social activists, religious leaders and other prominent figures who are expected to participate in the upcoming Padyatra. Extending formal invitation for participation to the stakeholders, the DC said the aim of the rally is to meaningfully engage all stakeholders in the fight against drug abuse and to build a narcotics-free society.

This will be a major moment for the district to strengthen it's resolve against the drug menace and all stakeholders are coming together to demonstrate their commitment for the 100 day intensified NMJK campaign, he said. During the interactions, the DC emphasized the importance of unified community action in addressing the growing concern of substance abuse adding the event is intended to raise awareness and strengthen public resolve against drug abuse.

He appreciated the proactive role of all these stakeholders in the campaign, noting their participation will make the event vibrant and inclusive besides enhancing community engagement for the collective cause. Dr. Bilal described the drug abuse a grave threat to the individuals, families and society which needs sincere and concerted efforts by all for it's timely control and eradication.

He called for a board based and holistic approach in combating the menace of narcotics and safeguarding the future of youth through community led initiatives. Terming the participants as ambassadors of change in their respective communities, the DC said that the success of the rally will depend on active participation of different sections of the society so a strong message is sent against the drug abuse.

The rally will provide a great opportunity for the district to unite under one ambition and further it's resolve against the menace, he stressed. The stakeholders on the occasion expressed their support and assured full cooperation to the administration in mobilizing participation from their respective areas and also put forth valuable suggestions to enhance outreach and public involvement.
